My Story

Lovely to connect with you!

My name is Michelle, originally from Ontario and moved to Calgary in 2023 for the great outdoors. Outside of being a movement enthusiast, I am a dog lover, cooking connoisseur, and a wife and mama-to-be!

Professionally, I am an Online Strength & Mobility Coach and Founder of Pivot Your Wellness, a movement coaching practice designed to help you feel more capable and confident in your body and life.

I decided what I wanted to pursue in my service to the world when I was 14 years of age.

After years of unwelcoming remarks about my body size, playing every sport in the books, and watching my family members struggle with chronic disease, I knew my mission was to help myself feel confident, vibrant, and capable in my own skin, and to guide people on that same journey.

As a teenager, I started lifting weights to increase my muscle mass and performance in sport, and instantly fell in love with how capable and strong I felt.

When I was a few years in my competitive soccer career at 16 years old, I tore a ligament in my knee and have had a couple knee surgeries since. I fell in love with the rehab process and LOVED getting strong again.

From sitting on my tushie over the pandemic, I’ve developed sciatica and have used strength, mobility, and belief systems coaching to manage all sorts of chronic pain.

Since 2014, I’ve learned how to manage depression and anxiety with movement being my medicine, as medication wasn’t serving me early on.

Changing my diet over the last couple years has decreased inflammation in my body, eliminating my acne and improving my chronic pain management.

From my teens into my mid-twenties, I experienced situations that made my body feel like an unsafe place, at times I’ve felt that I was not good enough, nor worthy of love.

After what my body and mind have experienced, I have endured tremendous growth personally and professionally through over a decade of coaching, rehab, healing, and helping others on their wellness journey.

My wellness vision is to live without pain and chronic disease, and with ease and enthusiasm to do the things I love most, with who I love most.

Becoming physically and mentally strong and confident has CHANGED MY LIFE for the better.
