My Story

As women, our bodies are constantly being critiqued- by others and by our inner critic.

Oftentimes, instead of our intellect, abilities and personalities being admired, a magnifying glass is placed on our bodies.

This teaches women that worthiness is strongly connected to appearance.

We know this couldn’t be farther from the truth.

The hurtful comments came my way in childhood and made its way through adulthood. Those close and not so close to me freely shared their opinions about my body.

“Noodle arms”, “chicken legs”, “grandma butt” changed to “you look manly” and “are you sure everything is okay?” when I gained 15 pounds.

During my time at university, I saw my family members struggle with high blood pressure, diabetes, and Alzhiemer’s, resorting to a cocktail of medication to help manage their condition, while I was learning about how lifestyle can prevent all these ailments.

At 14 years old, I started lifting weights to increase my muscle mass and performance in sport, and instantly fell in love with how capable and strong I felt.

When I was a few years in my competitive soccer career at 16 years old, I tore a ligament in my knee and have had a couple knee surgeries since.

I fell in love with the rehab process and loved getting strong again.

From sitting on my tushie over the pandemic, I’ve developed sciatica and have used strength, mobility and meditation training to manage all sorts of chronic pain.

Since 2014, I’ve learned how to manage depression and anxiety with movement being my medicine, as medication wasn’t serving me early on.

Changing my diet over the last couple years has decreased inflammation in my body, eliminating my acne and improving my chronic pain management.

From my teens into my mid-twenties, the cat-calling and multiple assault experiences made my body feel like an unsafe place.

Throughout my journey, I’ve felt at times that I was not good enough, nor worthy of love.

Which now I know this couldn’t be farther from the truth.

After what my body and mind have experienced, I have endured tremendous growth personally and professionally through over a decade of coaching, rehab, therapy and helping others on their wellness journey.

My wellness vision is to live without pain and chronic disease, and with ease and enthusiasm for as long as I can.

Becoming physically and mentally strong and confident has CHANGED MY LIFE for the better.

And for that reason, I’ve collected my learnings into a 1on1 coaching experience like easy to follow Ikea furniture assembly instructions because I am on this big blue dot to…

Help women experience this growth.
